I've always loved working in a team, facilitating efficient and effective workflow, and delivering a collective product! My team members have been a joy to work with and highly rate them!

This project was to develop a Winery project for Moutery Hills in South Island, New Zealand. We had numerous site-visits to various Winery's in the region, listening to wine-makers and their growing and manufacturing process which was absolutely amazing! We embarked on doing an in depth study on the background of the wine company we were designing for to deliver an integrated design outcome.

Thoroughly enjoyed this project!

The horizontality of the exterior facade elements were construction solutions that blends with its surrounding aesthetic. The underground and recessed concept of the building allows the architecture to not 'take away' from the celebrated element; 'the vine' along the hillside.

The architectural aesthetic is to work with the organic nature of the space that alludes to the Moutere Hills winery logo concept that alludes to the notion of 'regeneration'.

The central glulam 'tree-like core' has played a big part in the exterior concept. This aesthetic is also brought into the interior by expressing the interior beams, designing them to span from its focal point, hereby bringing an architectural focus to the tree-core stage area.
